i’ve been getting pretty bold with my project attempts. I an constantly amazed at how much is involved with everything.

You got it. Although the pictured set doesn’t have bearings installed and not all use bushings for the wrist pin as opposed to just having it ride bareback in the piston.

Wait until your first (and probably last) transmission teardown. An Engine ain’t shiße compared to that mess.

This is why we’re trying to sell the Blazer as-is (without 3rd and OD) before attempting a trans rebuild

Yeaaaaaa... neither of us have rebuilt a 4L60 before, and due to city ordinance we can’t keep a car on the street overnight so it effectively traps the Monte in the garage until we finish unless I get my gym clothes on and practice truck pulls on 3 tons of dead k1500...

A real Blazer? Damn! Still wouldn’t be worth it. Transmission guys earn every penny they make.

Agreed. I’m on board to buy a rebuilt one, install it, sell the truck, then rebuild the blown one and sell at our leisure, but Mr. Yamahog is wary of selling an unproven rebuild

A 4L60 rebuilt is about a grand up here. I understand the hesitation. But losing money on a good truck? Ick. That’s a sticky situation.

Meh... it’s a rustbucket. I have it listed at 2000, would take 1500 in a heartbeat since it has 103k on a running 350 TBI SBC, almost new all terrains, and $500 scrap value, lol

The picture doesn't have the bearing, I get what you mean though. I also agree with the other guy about transmissions. I worked next to transmission people and that shit looked insane.

That’s the being of the siren call if the rotary engine.
